New Bathroom Bliss

Our bathroom is DONE. Well, everything except for the poem from Lord of the Rings that Tim is going to hand letter clear around the bathroom. It's a pretty adorable bath poem.
These pictures show Eve at her finest.... busy busy and all buisness.... and brushing her teeth which is somewhat of an obsession that I hope fades soon.
New features include:
painted the existing sink stand, new tile and backer board, new paint, new shower curtain, new wainscoting, new mirror and light fixture and, of course, a new vent grate.... in black, of course.

Car Seat

So, I went to Sam's Club today with the kids. It was the first day for Eve and Samuel to both sit in the cart together. And, the first day for Samuel to be in a "big boy" car seat (he out grew the Graco). I always have a little struggle getting Eve into her car seat. You know the routine, she arches her back and grabs onto anything immobile as I'm putting her into the seat. Trying her hardest to thwart my attempts to keep her safe on the road. I usually dish out the harsh look, a stern warning and push her back into her car seat. Today, however, when pushing on her, I saw the ridiculousness of the situation and started to laugh. Of course, she's crying great crocodile tears of "abuse" and I have my head right in front of hers. She stops crying and starts laughing too. It took us a couple minutes to both calm down.

Snow, Snow, Snow

Well, you've heard about it (and seen it) from the Cananaro Feists.... Here's the 100 year snow storm from Carryback Ct.

Our neighbor, Ben, is at ground level behind the snow drift.

The cars.

Papa's Welcome Home

So, Eve's new favorite thing is to run to Tim when he gets home.... He scoops her up and she helps him take off his winter gear. Then, she puts it on (well, those pieces that she can physically manage) and points to said articles and says "Papa". Then, we all play chase around the house and Samuel squeals with delight.
Eve still doesn't like the snow - at 30 inches (the snow, not the child) I don't think I'd be into it either at her age. However, she HAS started to poke the snow banks along the drive way with a stick. I suppose that's a start.
